ICR announces new Executive Director, Dr. Jianghong Li

Jianghong, our new executive director's image

ICR is excited to announce that Dr. Jianghong Li, a longstanding researcher on staff, has agreed to take the post as our new Executive Director. Dr. Li takes this position after Dr. Weeks, our ED of decades, decided to step more fully into her expanding family life (although Dr. Weeks will continue to support our work by serving as a researcher here at ICR).

Dr. Li brings a passion for scientific rigor and community ties to her position, maintaining the focus ICR has held since its founding. She has extensive experience with novel sampling methods through a critical lens and has studied social, personal, and cultural impacts on substance use and abuse and sexually transmitted diseases, especially in hidden, hard-to-find populations. Her work on Respondant-Driven Sampling is key to the field’s current understanding and use of this participant-recruiting methodology. Her dedication to international study and students keeps ICR deeply connected to the people and mission we seek to serve.

Welcome to your new position, Dr. Li!
