ICR has been awarded a two-year grant by the National Institutes of Mental Health to investigate how a short-term housing intervention (youth rapid re-housing) affects young adults’ risk of acquiring a sexually transmitted infection (STI) such as HIV. This information will be used to improve rapid rehousing programs for emerging adults in order to reduce their potential exposure to HIV, chronic stress, and other health and mental health risks.
